My professional background is in systems software: HTTP, proxies, performance, testing infrastructure, and the work required to make releases dependable. I studied computer science at the University of Illinois and have spent years contributing to open-source projects including Apache Traffic Server and Proxy Verifier.
I also build and operate websites. That combination matters: good web work is not only how a page looks on launch day, but how clearly it communicates, how little it asks of the visitor, and how responsibly it is deployed.
